Have you ever dreamed of working in a studio recording music, or mixing out front of a band at a live gig? Maybe you’ve even thought about working in the Radio, Television or Film industry as a sound engineer. You may even have some gear of your own, but can’t seem to work it properly, let alone get a decent sound. Vandersound offer courses in Audio Engineering which are affordable, practical and can be scheduled to suit you.Students can go in any direction, and to any depth above and beyond the core subjects. There are no large classes and no competition for studio time, the entire course is conducted in the studio itself. Fully tutored recording, editing, mixing and mastering sessions are included as a core part of the course. The VAE4 course is intense, interactive, hands-on, from the ground up, and covers everything you really need to know. We cover not
only the technical side of audio engineering, but the creative approach as well.Over the years the industry has become sceptical of certificates in audio engineering. Too often graduates are not properly trained to understand basic concepts like signal routing. Our aim is to concentrate on making sure that our graduates are capable of thinking technically, allowing them to adapt to a variety of studio setups competently, using the diagnostic skills which we teach.
Currently located on the south side of Brisbane in Queensland, our students have travelled from all over South East Queensland and Northern NSW. Other students that actually
moved here for the duration of the course include those from country QLD/NSW, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, New Zealand and even Japan, Thailand, Korea, Hong Kong and Solomon Islands. Our students range from 17 year old high school students (some funded by their schools), to experienced studio owners and musicians. We have trained school and college teachers how to teach their students Audio Engineering. We have even re-trained graduates from other Audio Engineering schools.
