The learning process should be fun as well as interestingHave you ever dreamed of working in a studio recording music, or mixing out front of a band at a live gig? Maybe you’ve even thought about working in the Radio, Television or Film industry as a sound engineer. You may even have some gear of your own, but can’t seem to work it properly, let alone get a decent sound. Vandersound offer courses in Audio Engineering which are affordable, practical and can be scheduled to suit you.

The Level IV in Audio Engineering offered by Vandersound is unique as it is the only "ONE-ON-ONE, SELF-PACED" course in Audio Engineering we know of in the world. Just yourself and your trainer, learning at your own pace.
Students can go in any direction, and to any depth above and beyond the core subjects. There are no large classes and no competition for studio time, the entire course is conducted in the studio itself. Fully tutored recording, editing, mixing and mastering sessions are included as a core part of the course. The VAE4 course is intense, interactive, hands-on, from the ground up, and covers everything you really need to know. We cover not Learn how to use equipment like compressors, gates and effects processorsonly the technical side of audio engineering, but the creative approach as well.

Over the years the industry has become sceptical of institutes that hand out certificates in audio engineering, because of the low level of readiness of graduates from some institutions. Having a certificate doesn't necessarily mean much these days, rather, what you know and can show that you can do is much more important. Therefore our aim has been to concentrate on making sure that our graduates are fully capable of working in any studio setup competently, using the diagnostic skills which we teach. This way our graduates can confidently demonstrate to prospective employers, what they know and understand.

Currently located on the south side of Brisbane (and opening in Melbourne at the start of 2008), our students have travelled from all over South East Queensland and Northern NSW. Other students that actually Learn console signal routing. We start with the analogue console then move onto the digital console and software mixers.moved here for the duration of the course include those from country QLD/NSW, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, New Zealand and even Japan, Thailand, Korea and Solomon Islands. Our students range from 17 year old high school students (some funded by their schools), to experienced studio owners and musicians. We have trained school and college teachers how to teach their students Audio Engineering. We have even re-trained graduates from other Audio Engineering schools.

We consistently get "Excellent" in our course evaluations by students at the end of the course. See the references page for a sample:
